The folding design means that it is extremely compact when packed away, but pops up in an instant to turn the rear LCD of a DSLR into a large electronic viewfinder. Its clever magnetic system makes it simple to attach and detach it from the camera.

Using a DSLR in live view mode has many advantages and of course when shooting video footage with a DSLR, live view has to be used. However using the LCD can impose some issues, particularly when shooting outdoors. External viewfinders are therefore a highly useful item, however these can be bulky, hard to store and transport and are often difficult to attach to the camera.

The GGS Ocular solves these problems with an innovative design that;

The GGS Ocular will fit onto over 50 camera models with more to follow. Moreover, if you change your camera, it’s easy and inexpensive to transfer the Ocular to fit your new camera (Provided your new camera is a compatible model)

Setting up.
When you receive the GGS Ocular, included in the kit will be an LCD Adaptor frame pack*. There are two frame parts in the pack and you can use either one on your camera (i.e. not both). We recommend that you use the frame with the glass protector on your LCD, as this will provide excellent protection for your camera’s LCD during normal use. If your camera has a touch sensitive LCD, you may prefer to use the frame without the glass. In either case, the frame can be removed without leaving any deposits. Once removed, it cannot be re-fitted.

In use.
Simply place the Ocular onto the LCD. The magnets inside the edge of the frame will hold the Ocular firmly onto the metal frame/screen protector. Now grasp the sides of the Ocular at the bottom and pull away from the LCD to open the device for use as a sunshade. To use as viewfinder, slide the actuator at the top to the right and the lens will swing into position. After use, to pack away, push the lens back into the stowed position, then squeeze the sides of the Ocular to let it fold back down. Once folded, simply pull it away from the camera. When not in use, keep the Ocular in its storage case for maximum protection.
