Celestron Observers Telescope Accessory Kit

Packed into a robust plastic carrying case for taking with you on the go, the Celestron Observer’s Accessory Kit contains everything you need for connecting your DSLR camera to your telescope to observe the night sky and carry out basic astrophotography.

Two high-quality Plossl eyepieces provide high (6mm) and medium (17mm) power viewing, allowing adjustment of the magnification (higher with a smaller eyepiece) and field of view (smaller with a smaller eyepiece) depending on what is required. 

The 1.25” eyepiece filters increase contrast for capturing images of planetary views with minimum glare. Constructed from solid plane parallel glass, each filter features an anti-reflective coating and is designed to fit Celestron and other standard 1.25 inch eyepieces. Switching between the light blue and red filters allows you to see different features of the planets, for example, using the red filter when viewing Jupiter improves observation of the great red spot, whilst using the blue filter is more useful for studying Jupiter’s bluer clouds. The Moon filter is specially designed for improving observation and astroimaging of our Moon, reducing the brightness and boosting contrast so more details (e.g. craters) can be seen on the lunar surface.

The multi-functional 3-in-1 Barlow/T-Adapter aids astrophotography in a number of ways. Use it as a simple visual Barlow Lens to double the magnification of any attached eyepiece and boost viewing power, or alternatively as a T-Adapter for the attachment of a DSLR camera to your telescope (when used in conjunction with a compatible T-Ring) to begin capturing the wonders of the night sky on film. Also functioning as a teleconverter, the adapter provides the option of doubling the focal length and power of the telescope.

Finally, not forgetting that good maintenance of your optical equipment is key to high quality viewing and imaging of the night sky, the included specially designed microfibre cloth is intended for the gentle removal of fingerprints and accumulations of dirt from the sensitive optical surfaces of your camera and telescope without causing any damage or leaving troublesome smears and residues.
